1998 was comparatively better, as he had 2 films and both were hits- Major Saab (Semi-Hit, don't know why it is said it performed poorly) and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (Hit). However, 1997 to 1999 were worst for ABCL, especially 1999 as all his films- Lal Baadshah, Sooryavansham (its one of his best in terms of performances), Hindustan Ki Kasam (though a record opener and later an average grosser) and Kohram all flopped at the box office, and ABCL was finally closed, before its revival in 2003.

The 1990s decade weren't good for him, as he had less hits- Aaj ka Arjun, Hum, Khuda Gawah, Major Saab, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Only 4 hits, and then ABCL fiasco & finally the films he did post comeback!
